Appropriates $494,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education in fiscal year 2023 for a grant to Wilderness Inquiry for credit recovery programs, capital expenses, and a fellowship program.

Allocates $290,000 for credit recovery activities, $15,000 for accessibility equipment for youth with disabilities, $145,000 for transportation needs, and $44,000 for a fellowship program.

Requires Wilderness Inquiry to form at least four partnerships with school district or charter school programs, with two partnerships required to be outside the 11-county metropolitan area.

Each partnership agreement must include a plan for integrating Wilderness Inquiry programming into credit recovery activities within the district.

Requires the grant recipient to submit a report to the commissioner of education and legislative committees describing programs offered and their effectiveness or outcomes, with funds available until June 30, 2025.
