Expands the definition of "criminal justice official" to include prosecuting attorneys, judges, public defenders, criminal defense attorneys, and other employees in their offices, in addition to peace officers.

Makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly and without consent publicly distribute personal information (home address, directions to home, or photographs) about a criminal justice official or their family/household member if it poses an imminent and serious threat to their safety.

Elevates the offense to a gross misdemeanor if the violation results in great bodily harm or death to the official or their family/household member.

Elevates any second or subsequent violation of this section to a gross misdemeanor.

Becomes effective August 1, 2022, and applies to crimes committed on or after that date.
