Appropriates $1,200,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education in fiscal year 2023 for grants to county law libraries experiencing revenue shortfalls in FY2020 and FY2021

Eligible libraries must have at least one full-time equivalent employee and demonstrate revenue decline from FY2019 to FY2020 or from FY2020 to FY2021

Grant recipients are prohibited from raising criminal filing fees under Minnesota Statutes sections 134A.09 and 134A.10 for at least two years after receiving the grant

Individual grant amounts are capped at the library's combined total revenue shortfall across FY2020 and FY2021 compared to prior years

One-time appropriation available until June 30, 2024
