Commissioner of Education must notify school districts that had American Indian education aid reduced in fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2022 that they may be eligible for a onetime adjustment.

Eligible school districts must apply to the commissioner describing why they could not spend the full amount of aid in the designated fiscal years and outlining how they intend to spend the funds in the 2022-2023 school year.

Application must include approval from the school's American Indian education parent advisory committee.

Unspecified amount from the general fund is appropriated to the Department of Education in fiscal year 2023 to restore American Indian education aid to compliant school districts.
