Commissioner of natural resources may sell approximately 39.30 acres in the Gordon W. Yeager Wildlife Management Area to Olmsted County by private sale.

Land is located in Olmsted County, described in Section 31, Township 107 North, Range 13 West, and lies westerly of County State-Aid Highway 22 and south of the Dakota, Minnesota, and Eastern Railroad right-of-way.

Commissioner and Olmsted County must negotiate and develop a conveyance plan including mutual agreement on financial compensation and operational conditions; plan due to legislative committees by November 1, 2022.

Conveyance must be by quitclaim deed approved by the attorney general, with state retaining all mineral rights and land reverting to state if not used for public purposes.

Sale proceeds must be deposited in the land acquisition account in the natural resources fund and appropriated to acquire replacement wildlife management area lands.
