Transfer the school nutrition programs unit from the Department of Education to the Department of Agriculture by July 1, 2023, with U.S. Department of Agriculture approval.

Include all employees, books, accounts, documents, data, and property required to conduct school nutrition programs under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 124D in the transfer.

Commissioner of Education must submit any necessary federal waivers and approvals by September 30, 2022, and notify legislative education committees of the request and any federal responses.

Revisor of statutes must prepare legislation for the 2023 legislative session proposing statutory changes needed to implement the transfer.
