• Authorizes health care providers to offer patients medically accurate, evidence-based health information and services appropriate for the patient's clinical circumstances and reasonably known wishes and beliefs.

• Prohibits state and local laws from requiring providers to give information that is not medically accurate or from preventing providers from delivering evidence-based care in accordance with professional judgment.

• Requires providers who determine that a state or local law violates these provisions to document their medical reasoning in writing and include documentation in the patient's health record.

• Repeals Minnesota's existing informed consent requirements for abortion procedures, including the 24-hour waiting period, state-provided materials, and reporting requirements that were in effect under sections 145.4241 to 145.4249.

• Effective date: July 1, 2021.
