Honors Roseau County Deputy Sheriff Richard K. Magnuson, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on August 2, 1978, while stopping a vehicle that had run through the Canadian border crossing at the Roseau Port of Entry.

Recognizes Magnuson's sacrifice and commitment to service to the state, noting he was athletic, musical, and kind, with plans to be married in fall 1978.

Acknowledges that on May 20, 2022, a ceremony will dedicate Highway 310 between Roseau and the Canadian border in Magnuson's honor.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and transmit an authenticated enrolled copy of this resolution to the Magnuson family.
