Removes the requirement that courts find grandparent visitation "would not interfere with the parent-child relationship" before granting visitation rights when a parent is deceased or during family court proceedings

Expands eligibility for visitation petitions from grandparents who had a child reside with them for 12+ months to any grandparent or great-grandparent with an "established relationship" with the child

Requires courts to consider the amount of personal contact between grandparents and the child prior to the visitation application

Repeals subdivision 7 of section 257C.08, which required a preponderance of evidence hearing before denying visitation based on interference with the parent-child relationship

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 257C.08, subdivisions 1, 2, and 3
