$7,500,000 appropriated from the state fiscal recovery fund in fiscal year 2022 to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development as a grant to the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living.

Funds designated for acquiring land and predesigning, designing, constructing, furnishing, and equipping the renovation and expansion of the existing facility on Robert Street in St. Paul.

Renovated and expanded facility will provide independent living, vocational, case management, and other services for persons with disabilities in the seven-county metropolitan area.

One-time appropriation available until project completion or abandonment, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

"State fiscal recovery fund" defined as money received by the state under section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act, Public Law 117-2.
