Expands the definition of "intern" to include individuals enrolled in a mortuary science program accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education, in addition to those who have completed the program or met educational and testing requirements.

Allows persons to begin a registered internship while enrolled in an accredited mortuary science program, upon program completion, or after passing required examinations.

Requires internship applicants currently enrolled in an accredited mortuary science program to submit a letter from the program verifying enrollment, credit hours completed, anticipated graduation date, and coursework in embalming and restorative arts.

Maintains the 2,080-hour minimum internship requirement to be completed within a three-year period, with flexibility to complete hours during enrollment, after graduation, or both.

Changes references from "substantially similar" programs to programs "accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education" when describing programs eligible for the 520-hour waiver based on clinical or practicum completion.
