Changes the terminology in Minnesota Statutes section 144.69 from "cancer surveillance system" to "cancer reporting system" throughout the statute.

Modifies patient interview procedures to require health department officials to notify (rather than obtain consent from) the attending physician, advanced practice registered nurse, physician assistant, or surgeon before interviewing cancer patients or their relatives during epidemiologic investigations.

Allows Minnesota to share cancer data containing personal identifiers with other states' cancer registries, provided the receiving state maintains the same privacy classification as Minnesota.

Permits sharing of cancer data with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Program of Cancer Registries and the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program, excluding direct identifiers such as name, Social Security number, telephone number, and street address.

Directs the revisor of statutes to replace all instances of "cancer surveillance system" with "cancer reporting system" in the next edition of Minnesota Statutes, Minnesota Rules, and online publications.
