Transfer $100,000 in fiscal year 2024 from the consumer education account in the special revenue fund to the general fund.

Appropriate $100,000 in fiscal year 2024 from the general fund to the commissioner of education, with $50,000 available in fiscal year 2025.

Award grants to the Minnesota Council on Economic Education to provide professional development to teachers of personal finance and consumer protection courses for grades 9-12, support direct-to-student financial literacy programs, and support affiliated higher education centers at Minnesota State University Mankato, St. Cloud State University, and St. Catherine University.

Require mid-year reports by February 15 and year-end reports by August 15 detailing the number and type of professional development opportunities, program content and locations, number of teachers trained, evaluations, and direct-to-student program details.
