• School districts and charter schools must pay all school employees full wages and benefits during e-learning days, with employees allowed to work from home, at alternative locations, or on an on-call basis.

• Noninstructional staff including food service employees and bus drivers must receive minimum 16 annual hours of paid orientation or professional development covering student behavior management, discipline policies, and school resources.

• School districts and charter schools must pay at least $25 per hour to paraprofessionals, Title I aides, instructional support staff, food service employees, bus drivers, and other nonlicensed employees working at least 14 hours per week and 100 workdays per year.

• Contractor employees working for school districts and charter schools must be paid at least $25 per hour and receive 16 hours of paid training and wages for e-learning days as of July 1, 2024.

• School districts and charter schools must contribute 100 percent of single premium health insurance and at least 50 percent of out-of-pocket maximums, and at least 85 percent of family premium costs for employees working at least four hours per day, effective July 1, 2023.
