Medical assistance covers chiropractic services and related services limited to one annual evaluation and 24 visits per year unless prior authorization for additional visits is obtained.

Covered chiropractic services include spinal manipulation, therapeutic exercise, and extraspinal manipulation provided by a licensed chiropractor, limited to those related to a chiropractic plan of care.

Repeals Minnesota Rules part 9505.0245, which previously limited coverage to medically necessary manual manipulation of the spine for subluxation treatment and restricted x-rays to spine-related imaging.

Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 256L.03, subdivision 3b, which previously limited MinnesotaCare coverage to medically necessary exams, manual spine manipulation, and x-rays.
