Adds private enforcement rights allowing consumers injured by violations of Minnesota consumer protection statutes (sections 325F.68 to 325F.70) to bring civil actions for merchandise sold for personal, family, household, or agricultural purposes.

Injured consumers may recover damages, costs, disbursements, investigation costs, and reasonable attorney fees, plus other equitable relief as determined by the court.

Expands the definition of "consumer" to include both natural persons and family farmers, with family farm defined by reference to section 116B.02, subdivision 6.

Actions brought under this provision are deemed to benefit the public.

Effective August 1, 2023, and applies to causes of action commenced on or after that date.
