Increases medical assistance income eligibility limit from 100 percent to 133 percent of federal poverty guidelines for persons with disabilities and persons age 65 and over under Minnesota Statutes section 256B.055, subdivisions 7, 7a, and 12.

Maintains 133 percent of federal poverty guidelines income limit for parents or caretaker relatives, certain individuals, children age 19 to 20, and children under age 19 (at 275 percent).

Applies existing income disregard rules under federal Public Laws 94-566, 99-272, and 99-509 for non-long-term care facility residents.

Specifies that veteran aid and attendance benefits and Veterans Administration unusual medical expense payments are considered income for eligible persons under the increased limits.

Effective date: January 1, 2024.
