Appropriates $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to the Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement.

Funds must support needs-based volunteerism subgrants to underresourced nonprofit organizations in greater Minnesota serving underserved populations or those at risk of homelessness, hunger, poverty, lack of health care access, or education deficits.

Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement shall prioritize organizations serving vulnerable populations and must report outcomes data and recommendations to legislative human services committees by December 15, 2024.

Appropriation is one-time only and available until June 30, 2024.
