Exempts all medications used for the prevention or treatment of HIV from co-payments under Minnesota Medical Assistance, including both treatment medications and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 256B.0631 to add HIV medications to the list of drugs with no co-payment requirements, joining existing exemptions for antipsychotic drugs used to treat mental illness.

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 256L.03 to exempt PrEP and PEP medications from co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles under MinnesotaCare coverage.

Effective date is January 1, 2024, or upon federal approval, whichever is later, with the commissioner of human services required to notify the revisor of statutes when federal approval is obtained.
