Appropriates $70,000 in fiscal year 2023, $570,000 in fiscal year 2024, and $570,000 in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to the commissioner of management and budget for a federal infrastructure funds coordinator and support staff.

Coordinator will maximize federal formula and discretionary grant funds under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, CHIPS Act of 2022, and subsequent federal appropriations acts.

Coordinator serves as state agency lead on federal infrastructure fund activities and coordinates federal grants with the governor, legislature, state agencies, Tribal governments, political subdivisions, and private entities.

Coordinator develops methods to maximize the amount and effectiveness of federal grants provided to state recipients.

Fiscal year 2023 appropriation is available until June 30, 2024; effective date is the day following final enactment.
