• Pharmacies must inform all patients that accessible prescription drug container labels are available at no additional cost upon request for patients who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise disabled.

• Pharmacies shall provide accessible labels in audible, large print, or braille format based on the patient's needs and preferences.

• Accessible labels must be affixed to containers, available within comparable wait times, last for the duration of the prescription, conform to United States Access Board best practices, and be compatible with prescription readers.

• Labels must contain all information required under existing pharmacy regulations and remain readable for the prescription duration.

• Requirements do not apply to prescription drugs dispensed and administered by institutional pharmacies or correctional institutions.
