• Expands alternative pupil eligibility to 10th grade students enrolled in career or technical education courses who pass a reading assessment, allowing them to take additional postsecondary courses upon earning a C grade or better.

• Requires districts to notify students and parents about postsecondary enrollment options by October 30 or May 30 annually, binding students to their participation decisions unless the district fails to provide timely information.

• Adds secondary and postsecondary students as required representatives on postsecondary institution concurrent enrollment advisory boards, which must consist of 16 members.

• Clarifies that students enrolling in postsecondary courses may access school-sponsored scholarships and participate in leadership roles or national organizations sponsored by their high school.

• Requires school boards to adopt identical weighted grade point average policies for postsecondary coursework as they apply to concurrent enrollment coursework.
