H.F. No. 279 Summary

• Corrects terminology in dentistry licensing grounds from "dental assisting assistant" to "dental assistant" throughout Minnesota Statutes section 150A.08.

• Adds aiding or attempted suicide in violation of section 609.215 as a ground for refusing, suspending, or revoking a dentist, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or dental assistant license, with board investigation required.

• Establishes a nonrefundable $5 fee that each dentistry licensee must submit to request a mailing address list under new subdivision 23 of section 150A.091.

• Removes the "on or after August 1, 2012" date restriction from section 150A.13, subdivision 10, making the failure to report provision apply generally to persons, institutions, insurers, or organizations that fail to report as required.
