School districts must give highest priority to applications for school-age care programs from children placed in foster care.

Districts may waive or charge a sliding fee based on family income for school-age care programs, with the option to waive fees entirely for children in foster care.

School-age care revenue eligibility expanded to include children who have been placed in foster care, in addition to children with disabilities and those experiencing temporary family problems.

Districts are eligible for school-age care aid equal to the difference between approved additional service costs and school-age care levy amounts.

Appropriates $1,000 for school-age care aid in both fiscal years 2024 and 2025.
