Licensed traditional midwives may obtain, possess, and administer vitamin K (oral or intramuscular), maternal RhoGAM treatment, postpartum antihemorrhagic drugs in emergency situations, local anesthetic, oxygen, and prophylactic eye agent for newborns.

Licensed traditional midwives are prohibited from prescribing, dispensing, or administering prescription drugs except as specifically permitted in the bill.

Licensed traditional midwives may not perform operative or surgical procedures except for suture repair of first- or second-degree perineal lacerations.

Licensed traditional midwives are authorized to directly obtain supplies, devices, and diagnostic tests as permitted; order tests; and receive reports, consistent with their scope of professional practice.

Both sections become effective the day following final enactment.
