Removes foreign birth country and English-as-second-language requirements for social worker provisional licenses, focusing instead on meeting specific educational and examination requirements.

Increases required supervision hours from 37.5 to 50 hours after receiving a provisional license, with at least 4 hours required per every 160 hours of practice.

Changes supervision requirements from 25 hours one-on-one and 12.5 hours group to 50-50 split between one-on-one and other types of supervision, and reduces maximum group size from seven members including supervisor to six supervisees.

Allows supervision to be provided via eye-to-eye electronic media while maintaining visual contact, in addition to in-person supervision.

Recodifies sections 148D.061, 148D.062, and 148D.063 as sections 148E.0551, 148E.116, and 148E.126 respectively, and repeals the immediate revocation provision for provisional license violations.

All changes effective October 1, 2024.
