Amends the definition of "prescription" in Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 151.01, subdivision 16a, to require prescriptions include instructions written in plain English explaining how the patient should use the drug.

Requires the Board of Pharmacy to amend Minnesota Rules, part 6800.3400, to mandate prescription labels include the complete and unabbreviated generic name of the drug.

Requires prescription labels to include instructions written in plain English explaining how the patient should use the drug and the clinical indications for the drug.

Section 1 becomes effective on the date the Board of Pharmacy rule becomes effective under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.18.

Section 2 becomes effective the day following final enactment, and the commissioner must comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 14.389, in adopting the rule amendment.
