Registry program patients may cultivate up to 16 cannabis plants at their primary residence without a license, compared to the current limit of 8 plants (with no more than 4 mature plants) for adult-use.

Registered designated caregivers can cultivate up to 16 cannabis plants on behalf of each patient household they assist, provided the patient assigns their cultivation rights to the caregiver and does not cultivate plants themselves.

Medical cannabis flower definition expanded to include cannabis provided by registered designated caregivers and medical cannabis businesses, and visiting patients are now included in the protected use provision.

Registered designated caregivers may now assist patients with cultivation of cannabis plants as permitted under the registry program, in addition to existing duties of administering products and obtaining medical cannabis from retailers.

Designated caregivers can simultaneously cultivate cannabis plants for personal use while cultivating on behalf of patients, subject to separate cultivation limits.
