Commissioner of human services shall implement a SNAP restaurant meals program allowing eligible SNAP recipients to purchase prepared meals at approved electronic benefits transfer (EBT) vendors.

Program must meet all requirements established by the United States Department of Agriculture.

Program becomes effective upon USDA approval of the commissioner's application, with the commissioner required to notify the revisor of statutes upon approval.

All responsibilities and authorities under the program shall transfer to the Department of Children, Youth, and Families once it becomes operational.

Revisor of statutes shall renumber the SNAP restaurant meals program statute if legislation is enacted during the 2024 legislative session recodifying SNAP statutes.
