• Requires information about contacting relevant social service agencies be made available to relinquishing parents in the newborn safety device.

• Extends immunity from criminal and civil liability to safe places and their medical professionals acting in good faith when receiving newborns, including immunity for mandated reporters under chapter 260E who comply with the section.

• Prohibits prosecution of any person for any crime based solely on the act of leaving a newborn in compliance with this section.
