Appropriates $6,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Second Harvest Northland Food Bank.

Funds will be used to construct and renovate a facility expansion in Duluth to serve as a food bank, including purchase and installation of new cooler and freezer systems.

Appropriation is contingent on the commissioner of management and budget determining that $6,000,000 of nonstate funds have been committed to complete the project.

Appropriation is one-time and available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

Effective date is the day following final enactment.
