$6,000,000 appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Independent School District No. 196 (Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan).

Funds designated for predesign, design, construction, renovation, furnishing, and equipping improvements at the Apple Valley Sports Arena located in Apple Valley.

Specific improvements include upgrades to administrative offices, public lobby areas, public restrooms, locker rooms for community and high school student use, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, energy efficiency upgrades, and safety and security systems.

Commissioner of management and budget authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $6,000,000 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Effective the day following final enactment.
