Amends Minnesota Statutes section 123B.09, subdivision 9, to define "proper cause" for removing school board members as malfeasance or nonfeasance as defined in section 351.14

Requires removal to be by concurrent vote of at least four board members at a meeting where the charged member receives notice of time, place, object, and reasons for proposed removal

Guarantees the charged member an opportunity to be heard in defense against the removal before any action is taken

Permits removal only for alleged malfeasance or nonfeasance committed during the current or any previous term as a board member

Takes effect July 1, 2024
