Commissioner of health shall establish a telehealth pilot project for the 2024-2025 school year to determine whether school-based telehealth services increase student access to health care.

Telehealth provider must have experience serving at least 50,000 students in educational settings, provide culturally competent pediatric care, and establish a Minnesota-based provider network.

Selected telehealth provider must offer services free to uninsured students and waive all cost-sharing for pilot participants to reduce access barriers.

Participating school districts must make telehealth services available to all students and cooperate in evaluating the pilot project.

Commissioner must submit an interim report by January 1, 2025, and a final report by December 15, 2025, including a recommendation on whether to continue and expand the pilot to other districts.
