Commissioner of health shall establish a dementia services program to coordinate state-funded policies and programs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Program shall facilitate outreach and education regarding Alzheimer's disease and related forms of dementia between state agencies, local public health departments, Tribal Nations, educational institutions, and community groups.

Program shall coordinate and implement the Alzheimer's Disease State Plan and collect and analyze data related to the impact of Alzheimer's disease in Minnesota.

Program shall incorporate early detection and risk reduction strategies into existing department-led public health programs.

An unspecified amount from the general fund is appropriated to the commissioner of health in fiscal year 2025 for the dementia services program, with a base amount to be established for fiscal year 2026 and beyond.
