• School districts and charter schools must provide menstrual products (pads, tampons, or similar products) at no charge to all menstruating students in restrooms regularly used by grades 4-12, effective January 1, 2024.

• Operating capital aid increased by $2 per adjusted pupil unit for school districts to purchase menstrual products and supplies needed to provide access in restrooms and school facilities.

• General education aid appropriation increased by $1,679,000 for fiscal year 2024 and $1,859,000 for fiscal year 2025 to fund menstrual product provisions.

• School districts must develop a plan for how menstrual products will be made available to students according to the new requirements.

• Revenue for menstrual product purchases must be placed in a reserved account in the general fund and may only be used for this designated purpose.
