$575,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2025 to the Organization for Liberians in Minnesota for a health awareness hub pilot project serving elderly African immigrant community members.

Pilot project must provide health care education, physical and mental wellness support, preventive care education from culturally similar medical practitioners, and referrals to culturally competent programs and medical care.

Organization must submit project evaluation to the commissioner within six months of pilot project conclusion.

$450,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2025 to Equitable Development Action to support minority providers licensed under Minnesota Statutes chapter 245D in building skills and infrastructure to improve service quality and accept clients with high behavioral needs.

Both appropriations are one-time grants available until June 30, 2027.
