Transfers $1,200,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the agriculture research, education, extension, and technology account at the University of Minnesota.

Funds the Forever Green Initiative, which promotes incorporation of perennial and winter-annual crops into existing agricultural practices.

Intended to protect the state's natural resources while increasing efficiency, profitability, and productivity of Minnesota farmers.

Transfer is in addition to previous funding authorized in Laws 2023, chapter 43, article 1, section 2, subdivision 4.
