Appropriates $22,000,000 to the Lewis and Clark Joint Powers Board for grants to make annual equity contributions to the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System, Inc.

Funds are designated for acquiring land and designing, engineering, and constructing facilities and infrastructure for expansion of the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System.

Appropriation is not available until the Lewis and Clark Joint Powers Board repays to the commissioner of management and budget an estimated $39,003,078 in federal funds received from a project previously funded by Laws 2014, chapter 295, section 11, by June 30, 2024.

Repaid federal funds must be deposited into the general fund.

Appropriation is available for use until December 31, 2031, effective the day following final enactment.
