Commissioner of Natural Resources must convey to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians at no cost all state-owned land and real property within one mile of the Upper Red Lake shoreline that is in state ownership.

Commissioner of Natural Resources must convey to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians at no cost all state-owned land and real property within the boundaries of the Red Lake State Forest.

Commissioner must identify any funding restrictions or legal barriers to the conveyances and submit a report by January 15, 2025 to legislative committees with jurisdiction over environment and natural resources, including recommendations for addressing the barriers.

$20,000,000 is appropriated to the Commissioner of Natural Resources in fiscal year 2025 for conveying the state-owned land and real property, with funds available to acquire additional land necessary to facilitate the conveyances.

The appropriation is a onetime allocation available until June 30, 2034.
