$12,700,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Somali Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Funds are designated for project management, development, predesign, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a new museum facility in South Minneapolis.

The museum will feature Somali relics and artifacts, Somali cultural history, and education.

The appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

This is a one-time appropriation effective the day following final enactment.
