Appropriates $20,000,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education in fiscal year 2025 for onetime student connections aid.

School districts and charter schools receive aid equal to $20 times their fall 2023 total student enrollment; cooperative units receive $2 times the student enrollment of their member districts.

Funds must support programs that build student connections and encourage regular school attendance through activities including phone contact, texting, home visits, and preventive measures.

Schools may provide programs with their own staff or contract for services, utilizing existing school and community resources tailored to individual student needs.

Aid is fully payable in fiscal year 2025 and remains available until June 30, 2027.
