• Peace officers are not immune from criminal liability for actions that deprive others of constitutional or statutory rights under color of law, including failure to intervene.

• Actions under this law must be commenced within six years after the cause of action arises.

• The law becomes effective the day following final enactment and applies to peace officer actions occurring on or after that date.
