Extends assessment validity from 60 to 365 calendar days for multiple long-term care programs including elderly waiver, developmental disabilities, and community alternative care programs.

Removes the expiration date for the exception allowing lead agencies that have not implemented MnCHOICES assessments to continue using contracted assessors.

Extends remote reassessment options for certain populations: allows two consecutive remote reassessments for developmental disabilities and brain injury waiver programs, and one consecutive remote reassessment for alternative care and elderly waiver programs, each followed by an in-person reassessment.

Changes annual reassessment requirements to once every three years for individuals with no significant changes in function or needs receiving specified waiver services, while maintaining annual person-centered service plan reviews.

Effective date of January 1, 2025, or upon federal approval, whichever occurs later, with commissioner notification requirement to revisor of statutes.
