The commissioner of human services must contract with the Wilder Foundation to conduct a study on statewide numbers and unique needs of pregnant and parenting youth experiencing homelessness.

The study must identify best practices in supporting pregnant and parenting homeless youth within programming, emergency shelter, and housing settings.

The Wilder Foundation must submit a final report to the commissioner by December 31, 2025, which the commissioner shall forward to relevant legislative committee chairs and ranking minority members.

$150,000 from the general fund is appropriated in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of human services for a grant to the Wilder Foundation to conduct the study.

The appropriation is a onetime grant available until June 30, 2026.
