Amends Minnesota's education finance law to include approved costs for historic school building preservation in long-term facilities maintenance revenue calculations for school districts.

Defines "historic school building" as a building currently serving elementary or secondary students that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as of January 1, 2024.

Caps annual approved preservation costs at $200,000 per qualifying historic school building, subject to commissioner approval.

Requires school districts to include historic building preservation plans in their facilities plans under subdivision 4 to qualify for the additional revenue.

Provisions are effective for revenue in fiscal year 2026 and later.
