• Specifies that pediatric CPR training must include instruction, hands-on practice, and in-person skills assessment under direct instructor supervision, covering CPR techniques for infants and children and obstructed airway treatment.

• Allows CPR training to be developed by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or other organizations using nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines, with recertification required at least every two calendar years.

• Permits pediatric CPR training completed prior to or within the first 90 days of employment to count toward in-service training requirements, changing prior language that prohibited such credit.
