Prohibits Minnesota government entities and political subdivisions from enacting ordinances, regulations, or policies that restrict communication or cooperation with federal immigration agencies regarding immigration status or federal immigration law enforcement.

Allows government entities, public employees, and peace officers to send, receive, maintain, and exchange immigration status data with federal immigration agencies and other government entities for purposes of complying with federal immigration law.

Defines "federal immigration agency" as the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, successor agencies, and other federal agencies enforcing immigration law.

Authorizes the attorney general or county attorney to investigate suspected violations and petition district court to compel compliance with the law's requirements.

Both sections take effect the day following final enactment.
