Appropriates funding from the general fund to the Minnesota Department of Education in fiscal year 2025 to develop educational materials incorporating American Indian views on environment and ecology.

Educational materials must include diverse resources such as curriculum materials, lesson plans, videos, documents, and project guides developed in collaboration with American Indian experts.

Materials must represent a holistic and inclusive approach to environmental education that enhances student understanding of environmental issues and encourages project-based and service learning.

Educational materials must respect the deep-rooted connections American Indian communities have with the land.

Commissioner of Education must consult with American Indian leaders when developing the educational materials; appropriation is one-time only.
