Amends Minnesota Statutes section 122A.40 to allow school districts to consider teachers' advanced degrees or graduate credits from accredited postsecondary institutions, but prohibits consideration of whether credits were earned at private or online universities.

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 122A.41 to allow school districts to consider teachers' advanced degrees or graduate credits from accredited postsecondary institutions when determining compensation, but prohibits discrimination based on whether the degree or credits were earned at private or online universities.

Both provisions take effect July 1, 2024.
